These are the birthday presents I made for my fella's 30th last weekend:

He's obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The pouches are fleece embroidered in back stitch, intended for his gadgets. The green bat bow tie one is for his MP3 player, the red Jack is for his phone and the the purple Jack is for his PDA. The pumpkin one has vouchers for breakfast in bed, uninterrupted computer time, shoulder rubs etc.

The box started as a second hand box for a toddlers puzzle that I painted initally with gesso mixed with purple acrylic and the lid being painted with silver acrylic. These were then given a second coat of acrylic. The main picture is stuck on, and the swirls were done using metallic markers.

hope you like them!

this is kinda off topic, but did you know they are releasing NBC in 3-D in certain theaters? they aren't doing it in smaller towns so you might have to drive, and they are only doing it for so long. i can't remember the website, but i'm sure if you google it, it will take you to the disney site where you can find the closest theater. anyways...

i am completely in love with your box (hee hee...)

I saw the movie this past week! I live in Toronto, so it was easy enough to find a theatre. I had never seen the movie before, but seeing it in 3D was pretty cool. I got spoiled, so now I don't know if I want to see it in anything but 3D! :D

i wish it'd play in Ottawa, but i don't think it is. or, at least, i cannot find listing for it in 3D. makes me a sad panda. :(

Yeah, it's not playing here in Halifax in 3D either :( One of my favourite movies, which just bums me out.
