Hi one of your friendly neighborhood mods here.

Lately I've been getting a few complaints about posts and pictures that were originally here being posted elsewhere. General rule is (and this is livejournal's not mine) a post belongs to it's poster so you must ASK before reposting. (links are ok reposts or using someone elses photos are not.)

I know a few of you are members of snark communities and it's really not cool to repost someones work and have people come here to troll posts. When it comes to stuff like that I will ban first and ask questions later. I ended up banning 3 people tonight. Craftgrrl is a friendly place and I would like to keep it that way.

For Dragon*Con going Crafters!

I hope it is okay to post this here. I sent a message asking but didn't get any response so, if it's not cool let me know and I'll delete.

AN OPEN CALL FOR PANELISTS FOR THE STARGATE MULTIVERSE TRACK @ DRAGON*CON 2009

There is more to Stargate Arts and crafts than costuming, props and ponies! Quilts, jewelery, drawing, paintings, custom action figures and much more! Are you a Stargate artist or crafter? Are you interested in participating in the Stargate "Show and Tell" Fanworks Art and Crafts panel?

If this is you please send me an e-mail off list (wiccanslyr at gmail dot com) with your information: Name, age, location, type of crafting you do, how long you have been doing it and what you think you'd like to share with other fans and crafters. Please include photos if possible!

You should also note that this is currently scheduled as MONDAY 1pm so it is important that any panelist be sure that they will still be at con at this time.

I look forward to hearing from all you crafters out there!

as a side note if anyone knows of any "geeky crafts" comms on LJ could you please let me know as I'd love to let them know about this as well. Thanks!

A while back....

coffeehouse tequiladawn helped me out a while back by posting links and suggestions on how to make a tutu as a part of an outfit. 12 yards of tulle and 16+ hours of dancing later, I just wanted to share the results! (And I didn't stick out as much this year!)

Also: Now I'm happily back to crocheting sweaters and little oddities. Phew! ~.*
