Quickly minimizing Sharpie smell?

So I needed to quickly recolor a doll jacket and I used a Sharpie since that was all I had on hand. I've never used one that extensively on clothes before and didn't stop to think about how strong the smell would be, and for how long. Is there any way to swiftly decrease the strength of the smell without removing the Sharpie coloring? I can't fathom how people who color people wigs with Sharpies can tolerate it, lol.
