coasters.

i wish i had a digicam to post pictures, but i made coasters (found the idea in girlyhead magazing (i think that's what it's called). just bought some bathroom tiles for fifty cents each, painted them with acrylics, modged podged some pictures on, and modged podged over the top. added some felt to the bottoms and voila! they are really nice. i used vintagy looking pictures from magazines (and a rubber ducky picture and some other things). but you could use stickers, glitter, basically anything. they look great!

i have this little scanner that goes with my i-zone. so i'm gonna try to take i-zones and scan them and see if that works. if it does, i'll post them soon! if not, sorry. i hate not having a digital camera and being broke. and my birthday is pretty far off!

boohoo, I feel your pain. The only reason I have a camera is because I emailed a list of potential christmas gifts to all of my family members and someone bought me a camera! Whee!

Hey, if your coasters are really great, you could try selling them and buy a camera with the profits! Hee!

that's such a good idea! of course i know of nowhere to sell them except online and without the camera that'll never happen. such a vicious cycle!

Just a suggestion -- I sell my candles and soaps in local hair salons.. maybe there is a coffee house or something in your area where you could sell your coasters? Seems like they'd be a hit, being coasters and all!

Modpodge isn't waterproof. When water gets on what you modpodged it will turn white then go back to the way it was. Look for something waterproof to put over the top. ;D

thank you! what would you recommend (and why would they fail to mention this in the directions for making coasters??? ugh!)??
