First time poster, long time lurker... :-) I love seeing what y'all do. :-)
I made some Santa outfits for me & a girlfriend for SF Santacon. We spent about 20 hours from start to finish on the two of them.

My girlfriend drew a picture of what she wanted and I patterned it and sewed it up. She's half Jewish and wanted her Santa outfit to reflect this. Hence, the blue fur. You can't see it in my lousy picture, but the fur has silver sparklies in it. We made a great team: She did the cutting and the hand-work, I did the patterning, sewing and fitting. |
 |
My santa suit. The fabric is a short fur with a directional pattern. I love the jacket so much that I've been wearing it all week long! Again, I patterned it. The bottom front looks funny in the picture, but it looks great IRL. |

A better picture of the hoodie part of the jacket. That's not coffee I'm drinking! Tee hee hee... |
"SantaCon"?
Thats a new one... o.O lol!! Your costumes are really cute, great job!! :)

I think there were about 300 Santas in San Francisco last weekend. We had a super-great crazy time!
Zombie takeover? That's new to me... Where do I sign up? ;-)
There were a lot of people who came in from out of town...
didn't hear about any of the santarchy things this year though here in seattle so can't report on that.
and you did a superb job on the outfits.
zombie takeovers happen all the time in portland oregon. Not just round halloween. ITs just like santacon, but dressed up as zombies. Im a zombie fanatic so i cant wait to move back and do all this stuff:);)
I own all the DVD's including the movie. I just played the family guy drinking game on xmas eve. pretty cool. The indiana spoofs in season four are hilarious. SO many of them. "lady just here cause she humping director!"
Im a king of the hill, simpsons, futurerama, so manyothers. drawing a blank. family guy is my fav by far!
I wasn't able to pull the whole santa thing together thius year... but soon dammit... well next year anyway.
If you were closer, I'd say, "Come on over & sew with me!"
