earlier today my dad and i went to walmart and chose the "Omega Deluxe Denim Machine" because it seemed like our best option.
we've been trying to get the thread loaded for two hours. the instruction booklet is not detailed at all.
it says how to put thread into the needle from the top, and the bobbin is inserted in the bottom. then it says to bring it up through the hole, and pull the top thread to get it to....work?
am i just dumb, or should i go get another machine with the top drop bobbin? because this takes way too long to thread.
hopefully someone can reply to this before i go back to walmart for help......
* the carrying case it came with is a joke. it's just a plastic cover with no bottom. not very protective.

i've been pulling extra thread out when i start to sew, because i didn't know about what you described about reversing. i was just tying up the loose ends and cutting them off.
i think i need a lesson from my friend or some classes!
