Ok, I have 2 questions:

1> Does anyone know a good place to purchase.....blank pottery forms? (Like the kind used at those paint your own pottery places, I don't really know what they're called.)

2> A question of ethics: Is it ok to collage something (where you're using found pictures *someone else's work*) and then sell it?

as for 2: Especially on a small scale, I'd say it's more of an homage than plagorism. It's not like you're putting your name on the bottom of it, you're using it as art in art. I'd be honored if someone used my stuff in a collage, but that's me.

Try Michaels, they usually have a nice selection of unfinished pottery. Where are you from? there might be a pottery studio near you.

And about using found artwork on peices you intend to sell, if it were me I would be a little bummed about that if someone used my work, and if you were going to use something from a famous artist just be careful even if they are dead and gone their family can be ravenous about copywrights and all that junk. :)

unfired pieces are called greenware, single fired pieces are called bisqueware. you want bisqueware if you're not going to glaze fire them.

look for a place that sells pottery molds. most of those places will also sell cast pieces.

There's a pottery store down by Alderney area I think... sells paints and glazes and stuff... another thing we can do is register for a pottery course in the winter or seomthing at Findlay centre. Pat would love to help us out.

And ethics... don't even talk to me about ethics... *pukes up ethics*

Hmm...for number 2, I think you can... But I'm not sure. I do know that there are some pretty famous collage artists that got sued for it.
