It's a dreaded "HELP ME" post!

4:42 am - 06/11/2004
I thought -somewhere- on this site that I'd found someone who'd used gel medium to transfer pictures onto bathroom tile. I've scoured the FAQ and also done like a billion google searches (both in and out of the site) and I can't find that how-to again! Anyhow, I'm having a heck of a time getting this to transfer over. I don't know if it's because the tile is too slick or whatnot. Has anyone done this? Any advice?

It seems each time I try to peel off the paper, the image is peeling off as well. I went to kinkos and had a color copy made, so in theory it -should- work! Anyhow, I appreciate everyone's help =D If I can get this darn thing to work, I'll definately post pictures!

EDIT: I used the instructions on this website: http://www.calsk8.com/zeitgeist/acrylicgeltransfers.htm

I used your tutorial on this a while back and made Christmas presents. Thanks for the great idea!

I varnished mine with clear matte acrylic varnish (spray in a can) and I found that this caused the transfer to bubble up and go a bit weird though. Did you varnish yours?
