tutorial for the rouched assymmetrical tube top thingy i posted last week...
it's probably the worst looking tut i've seen in a while... comment for any clarifications...

i'd love to see people post if you end up trying this shirt... i also think this would be a cool style for non tshirt fabric...

Go to the thrift store and grab two teeshirts and give it a go.

In my town, I have 4 thrift stores in walking distance of my house, and 3 of the 4 have "color tag" sales - either all red tags are $1, or all white tags are half off, etc. Every Salvation Army thrift store I've gone to has *some* kind of sale on some colored tag every day, so if there's one you can get to you won't even pay full thrift store prices!

I also stocked up on shirts to alter at yard sales last spring and summer.

i just stuck the image in photobucket, so as long as that stays up, it should stay up :)

Thank you so much....I adore the shirt..

I just wish my sewing skills were fine tuned enough to make it look as good as yours..

That might be neat to try as a skirt, too.

OMG i love the look of the finished top on this one - though i have a question - in all of the construction of that shirt, did you by any chance come across an easy way to put straps onto it?
lwu81 30th-Aug-2006 10:41 pm (UTC)
it shouldn't be too difficult to do some straps. I would just attach them at the top. I personally would put in crisscrossed or assymmetrical straps to keep the lines funky.
