Awesome tutorial!
If you wanted to add a piece of fleece in between the two pieces of fabric, it would give it a nice cushy "quilted feeling," as well as make it a bit more sturdy. I just learned how to do that in a pattern I am using, and it is pretty neat.

I have a question..when did you add on the ruffles?? I'm guessing you added them when you sewed the felt to the yellow polka dots.. and btw- it's really super cute. I'm going to make one myself now!!! I dunno what I'll use it for, but I'm making one!! Lol

i added the ruffles at the end. I just sewed it on top and then used a hot-glue gun to put the ribbon on. The ribbon covers up the edges of the ruffles that i dont want seen.
