just some questions...

i was talking with a friend from my old school about crafts and stuff, and realised that my mum does crafty things, as does my aunt, and my grandparents did too, and so do i. Her mum and grandma did crafts, but our other friend, who's mum doesnt really do crafts and stuff, doesnt either.

is there anyone else who this applies to? or is it just a silly fluke thing? and if it does apply to you too, is it because you grew up with people around you crafting?

if you craft and none of your relatives do, why did you start?

andd.. which do you find takes up more wool (yarn, im english :P ) knitting or crocheting? and i know this one has been asked before, and answerd in the FAQ, but theres more members now so.. if you knit and crochet, which do you prefer and whyy?

thank ya if you take the time to answer :)

My mom was very crafty, into sewing and anything else. My dad is into model-building and miniatures and stuff like that. My dad's mom was a painter and a crocheter and a seamstress. Her mother was also a very fine seamstress. My grandfather, whom I'm not actually related to, was a carpenter and always designing/building things.

So yeah, I think being around it definitely increases your interest. I was in Girl Scouts when I was younger, too, and we did tons of crafty projects. Crafts have a lot of good memories for me.
