Dreadlock wishes

11:31 am - 01/28/2004
So, Ive seen a few posts about those several-scarves-in-one things, and I realized that I'd made this about 6 months ago, and never posted.

Its several strands, and each is made from a brown&black wool blend and another random yarn. The random tag-along yarn is spare yarn I had, in wool, cotton, polyester, and mohair. I always thought that dredlocks were cool, and these look alot like them :)

Also, I have bought webspace and such to make a shop & sell a few handmade things. For strange checking-account reasons, I cant open a paypal account. Should I just trash the whole idea, since almost every shop I see takes paypal? Heck, even I would have a problem sending moneyorders as payment. If all else fails, I could consign at cutxpaste.com. opinions?

Thanks!

Check out Propay.com. I use them and think they're great.

Would it be possible to use both Paypal (for paypal account balance transfers and echecks) and Propay (for credit cards) with Mals shopping cart software?
(by the way, your site is looking great!)

I don't know about that. I can't see any reason why not, but I haven't gotten to that point. Mals has a really helpful forum here, you might post your question there. It might also be covered in the FAQ, although I can't remember seeing it.

I definitaly think you should not trash the idea! I was able to get a paypal account without a checking account. This was last year but I'm pretty sure there are still ways around it. I bought one of those pre pay mastercard thingies from Rite Aid ( I think I paid about $20 to start it) because I didn't want to use my bank info on paypal. Maybe you can try that? Good luck with your website idea!

are the strands knitted/plaited/crocheted/etc?
and how is it all joined together?...
chedbrd 28th-Jan-2004 02:55 pm (UTC)
Its not joined together at all... You just clump them up and wear whichever ones you want :) When I wear them, I knot them together at odd intervals (that way they stay together), and it looks really cool.

cool...and was it crocheted?...or what?...
