I have a question for you :) Where in the world are you buying your resin? Ive looked everywhere for some. Could you maybe use plastic/paper/styrofoam cups?
Micheals craft store sells it. look in the glue section (took me forever to find it because I had no clue where they'd keep it!) They sell 2 sizes... small=$10 large=$16 (about)
I've been using plastic measuring cups and spoons because they are cheap.. but that 92 cents starts to add up each time I have to buy a new cup to mix the resin in. I was thinking that maybe using a glass measuring cup would work, but I wanna know what everyone else has to say before I go out and buy one.
i did a bunch of looking around online about this, and i read that resin will melt styrofoam or plastic cups, so i went out and bought paper cups (which are damn expensive, i'd never realized!), with the plan that i will mark on the cup how much to put in. the instructions on the resin package are in ounces, but it was so difficult to find a measuring cup in ounces, that i had to actually buy an expensive, really good quality measuring cup. i might try the film cannister idea someone suggested, that's great!
oops, i guess that wasn't very clear. my understanding was that resin melts the plastic cups that you buy at the grocery store with all the picnic stuff. i too have plastic molds, so i know that resin won't melt all plastic. and i don't even know if it will melt that other kind of plastic, but personally, i haven't even wanted to try!
