I keep seeing mention of these chocolate spoons. Can someone please direct me to more information? I've checked through the FAQ (I'm pretty sure!) and I can't find anything! I really want to try making these! If you are giving them as gifts, how are you packaging them?

I found something for the kind you make with plastic spoons, but isn't there something about making edible chocolate spoons? Am I nuts??

are you thinking of making spoons entirely out of chocolate? i've never seen anything like that, though with a mold, i suppose it's possible. all of the chocolate spoons i've ever seen (like the kind you can buy at godiva and other fine chocolatiers) are the plastic spoon dipped in chocolate kind. this way, you can stir your coffee or other warm drink of choice with the spoon. the warmth of the beverage will melt the chocolate and will add super tasty chocolate properties to said beverage. they are usually packaged in a bundle, tied with a ribbon and the chocolate part wrapped in clear plastic... hope that helps and if not, i hope you find the answer you're looking for (^_^)

I guess I have had the wrong idea about what a chocolate spoon is. I was picturing a spoon made out of cookie or something, and dipped into chocolate. Wouldn't that be good for dunking? What you've described, and what I've seen when googling, is starting to sound like the better, more plausible idea. I bet these look really nice when bundled like you described. Guess I'll try it!

i'm wrapping mine with a wee note inside saying

"Use me to stir your coffee
or you could just eat me too,
but remember underneath there’s a spoon
bite into it and your teeth won’t thank you"

santa is going to be sneaking them into peoples in trays this week.
