This is kind of a craft question.
I have a really old Caboodle (it's like a tackle box for makeup) and I wanted to use it to organize craft tools and materials.
Problem: Years ago perfume spilled inside. The inside reeks of cheap drugstore perfume and I just about die gagging every time I open it. Is there any way to get the stink out!?
Thanks in advance!

you can try the following:
let it sit in the sun (open) for a few days
stuff it with crumpled newspaper, close it, then replace the newspaper a week later, repeat til the scent is gone.
put a tub of activated charcoal in it, close it, then let it sit for a week, replacing the charcoal weekly as needed.
good luck!
ahh, vanilla can do so many useful smelly things.....
