Galaxy tab 2 case

My fiance just recently got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1).  He has yet to buy a case and I was wanting to surprise him with a crocheted one so that he could carry it around and not worry about it getting banged up.  Problem is...I can't find a tutorial of any kind.  I could just try and do it myself but I don't want him to know about it.  Which means I'm unable to take measurements myself.

So does anyone have a link to a tutorial that tells how to make one?  Or even just measurements that I could use (width, height, etc)?

Googling for "samsung galaxy tab 2 dimensions" brings up this, which tells you the exact size. This page has various pouches and covers for iPads and phones and the like; given that it's just a rectangle, it should be fairly easy to adapt one of those to the correct size?

I crocheted an iPad case not too long ago using this video pattern from YouTube. I'm going to refer back to it because I got myself a Asus Transformer Pad and want to set up a carrying case for it as well. I don't think it'll be too hard to adapt this pattern to whatever size you need (I actually used it to make a small carrying case for my phone).
