Another (mini) round of Christmas gifts done this time. :)

I also made some of these in yellow; both colours were from some Martha Stewart cotton hemp yarn I found on sale at JoAnn's during their Thanksgiving weekend sale.

I've made two of these yellow ones so far, and I'm working on a vertical one in a blue-brown variegated yarn. :D

"Soap coat" - I did not understand this. I was really excited/confused/disturbed to see a coat made of soap *facepalm*

I love these, but especially the wrist warmers. Variegated yarn can be so hit and miss, but woooow these colours!

Haha! Sorry for the confusion, I guess a soap coat does indeed sound weird. *g* Although if I could just put on a coat and step into the shower and get clean, that would be... kinda awesome, yeah.

Haha, thanks! I was kind of worried about the wristlets -- I didn't like the yarn colour much as I was working with it, but the giftee got a sneak peek of the yarn and confirmed that it fit her personality well.

They're all so cute! What kind of yarn did you use for your soap coat? Is it to store soap in or to use to wash with? I made one with Sugar and Cream cotton yarn and it did not really work to wash with. It didn't get bubbly enough.

I used Cotton Twirl by Crystal Palace. It's a really soft yarn and feels great to work with.

The soap coats are supposed to be for washing up. Some bar soaps don't lend themselves well to sudsing, though, so that could've been a problem! I had a store-bought soap coat that I thought was useless because it would never make bubbles, but then I tried a new soap and this new soap is almost too bubbly, haha.

You know, I never even thought of that! I buy super mild and or natural soaps. Those products bubble less, and regular soap didn't bubble that great. I might have hard water.

I love the way the blue is at the wrist on one of them and then at the finger end of the other one :) They are lovely!

These are so cute!! I also love the wrist warmers best. :D The colors are so wonderful. I feel like perhaps under other circumstances/with other yarn it would look awkward to have the blue on opposite ends but in this case it really works. They look comfy too ^^

Hehe, thanks! I was worried about the wristlet colours not matching because this yarn is... not evenly variegated. There was more brown/white in the yarn than the blue/green and I didn't find that out until I started unraveling it and seeing how uneven it was.
