Hallo there
Does anyone have tutorials for making card photo mounts/ frames/ holders (or whatever they are called, I heard them called about 10 different things!)? I don't seem to be able to buy any affordably, and need quite a load for theatre group photo exhibition/ sales in the spring.

you need a specialist mount cutter to get the angled apertures. To be honest unless you know what you're doing the mounting card is so expensive its worth leaving it to someone who knows what they're doing. however, if you want multiples of one size you should be able to drive the price down. I'd shop around, haggle, and check the internet for standard sized photo mounts in bulk packs

The google fu is weak with you. Dug up a tonne of UK sites that will sell in bulk at reduced price and for around 30p a mount.

Don't cut your own unless you have an industry standard CNC or laser cutter.

They're called Photo Mount Card or you can get Photo Mount Strut Cards too. Google that and add keywords like bulk and industry.

Two links I found doing just that:
