Completed Crochet Projects

I finished up a few small projects, mostly stuff to keep me warm. The cold weather we've been having is such a great motivator!

They are on my journal: http://nymfayaredflare.livejournal.com/10372.html

I'm going to be starting this afghan sometime soon.  http://blogs.thetucker.com/knit/2011/12/07/lacy-v-stitch-ripple-afghan/
Any experienced crocheters out there with advice?

Nice work! It looks like a fairly strait forward pattern for the afghan. My advice? It's your afghan, so make changes (accidental or purposeful) as necessary!

ETA: Also, winter is the perfect time to crochet an afghan. It gets too warm sitting in your lap in the summer.

It's actually a present for my best friend. But I covered my ass by making it very clear that it would be my first afghan ever and that I would probably take forever. We joke that it's her winter 2014 afghan.

That's a nice pattern for the afghan and you'll be surprised at how quickly it will stitch up.

All your work is well done. I can't get my cats to wear anything (not even a collar, good thing they stay inside) but they love snuggling under my projects. I have a lint brush and a glove to remove cat hairs.

Don't feel bad, I have a six year old afghan that's not even a quarter finished yet :)
