(Late) Halloween Creeper costume!

My camera finally decided to cooperate with the computer so I thought I'd share the costume I made for my youngest!

BOOM!

Watch out!

I had to cover it with cling wrap because we live in WA and it was a little rainy (of course!). The head and body are separate so it was pretty easy to take take off/on. Yes, I am insane and painted the whole thing by hand, square by square. I used an old BBQ grill box from a friend. I cut out the creeper's mouth then glued in some sheer-ish fabric I had so he can see out without people being able to see in.

Inside, you can sort of see the "suspenders" to hold it up, I used an old pool noodle so it didn't hurt his shoulders.

And the "bare bones" (and brother)! Once it was all taped together I wrapped it all in kraft paper to make it easier to paint.

This is so awesome, great job! I'm eventually going to need to make a creeper for my wedding. I do not look forward to the painting lol.

It wasn't so bad! After making a grid on the whole thing in pencil, I just used black, white and a couple different greens and kept using the same cup just changing the color a little at a time and doing the one color on all sides before moving to the next ;)

That's just brilliant! I love it! (And I love that you thought to wrap it in plastic - we were dashing from house to house ourselves..)
