Thanks a lot! Your comment was so kind and enthusiastic I just had to respond to it immediately. :D

I used Katia Austral, which is a merino/acrylic blend and is wonderfully soft and warm. However, I have to confess my choice of yarn was quite accidental - the yarn shop closest to my uni specializes in Katia, and I couldn't resist those pretty red skeins. So I can certainly recommend the yarn I used, but I guess anything that fits 3,5-4mm needles and is comfortable enough to be worn over hands could do. :)

EDIT: I don't know where you live, but I checked Katia website and the brand seems to be quite popular: http://www.katia.com/donde_encontrarnos.php?lng=EN. I hope this helps!
