New Orleans Craftivist Workshop Operation Holiday & Faux quilted ornaments

7:52 pm - 11/03/2012
I don't know how many of you are in New Orleans but this is what I'm going to be doing in my spare time.

I've also been making these as a fundraiser for my church.

When my daughter was born I received an ornament like that with an Aida cloth insert that had Baby's First Christmas cross stitched on it. It's near and dear to my heart, and I'd love to learn how to make them. Do you have a link to a tutorial you could share?

I learned to do 'em from my mom but if you give me a few days I'll write a tute for you.

That's very sweet of you. :) Please don't rush it, though. I know everyone's life is crazy as the holidays approach.

Enjoy your crafting workshops!

Thank you so much. I purchased something like that at a church fundraiser years ago by an adorable old lady and always wanted to know how to do it!
