Hi girls!
A crafty dilemma is going on here and I count on your good suggestions: I've these wood beads and I'd like to make a necklace. I made few tries but I think it's missing something, I just can't put m hand on it.. mmm. These are the first attempts:

I tried to ask google and these are the images that caught my attention: inspiration 1..

..and 2

Do you have any advice for me? Please? D:

Adding in spacers or sparkly beads would add more flair to the necklace. Just be careful to balance the look so it stays with an elegant statement rather than looking like (sorry to say this) a child's project.
As for what you use to string the necklace together, something with a bit more detail like a chain would work, especially if you stay with just the wooden beads. What you are currently using isn't bad in my opinion but you might want to see how well the beads fit on it and, if necessary, either switch to something thicker or else twist the cord you're using to make it thicker and more intricate looking.
And remember, all comments are the opinions of the posters and may not reflect your artistic vision. Which is fine, so don't think that you have to do what anyone suggests. :)
Securing the beads will give it a finished look, as well. You could add knots, spacer beads or secure them together.
I don't think that the beads are the problem, just be sure to be consistent with what you pair them with.
Good luck! Great start :)
