This is something I spent all morning working on for a bird-themed gallery exhibit at my art guild.

Like I said, I spent all morning working on this and it was soooo fun! I used a lot of crystals, cabochons, and pendants for my jewelry supply boxes. I believe art should not be taken seriously and it should just be a matter of having fun playing with your supplies, so that's what I did and that's what I do whenever I make my images and jewelry.
I was pretending to be an Airbender while I made this xD

You've inspired me to return to my jewelry box -- I love to repurpose broken jewelry and single earrings to create new things --, some beautiful, some outrageous, some both. My "Splendour Under The Sea" lampshade currently graces a lamp in my living room. It's painted a light slightly sparkly aqua and covered with fish, crabs and sea plants made from glued single earrings, sequins, beads and other found objects. [I'd rank this as 40% beautiful, 60% outrageous :) ]
It's not very big. The blue part is around 8.5 by 11 inches and the white cloud paper is only slightly larger than that...maybe 14 inches tall? I haven't measured it but I used computer paper so it's not big.
I'm primarily a jewelry maker (my professional account is ultranovajewels, the one who posts necklaces all the time) but every so often I like to do paper work too. My drawing skills are mediocre at best so I like to utilize 3D cabochons and crystals more than drawing.
