Craft for scrap paper mementos?

Hey crafters! I'm hoping you can help me come up with an idea!

So I'm a senior resident assistant at my college, & we have a tradition called a "kudos box" where we write nice notes for each other & read them at our weekly staff meetings. We're all going our separate ways next month, & I've been collecting these "kudos" to give to everyone so they can remember all the nice things that have been said about them. =] I'm looking for some sort of crafty thing to do involving them.

I'm kind of at a loss on what to do... We just use pieces of scrap paper, so there's no uniformity, which makes it challenging. I was thinking about just giving each person a binder ring with their "kudos" attached, but I'd like to do something a BIT more fancy... any suggestions?

Photo albums work well--paste them on scraps of pretty paper (cardstock, scrapbook paper, even construction paper) cut to fit in the slots for photos. You can get lovely cheap photo albums just about anywhere, of any size.

This is what I was going to suggest! Many stores sell 5*7 albums, and some are pretty cheap.

I hope that you (OP) are able to find something, it's a really touching idea!

I've seen little photobooks in the dollar section of Target, even.

My dorm did something similar one year, and I think we got ours binder-clipped together. The presentation wasn't as nice, but it was the words that counted. You could always do a pretty envelope, if you just wanted something a little nicer for presentation.

thanks, everyone! I'm sort of combining your photo album idea with a below poster. I'm making a collage of some of the more notable/funny kudos, then I'm going to also give them a photo album of the others, so they'll have them all =] Thanks for your suggestions! =]

I love mini books, which can be done tons of ways. Here are some I have bookmarked:

Some of these might be a little too time consuming, but I wanted to share the ideas anyways.

Oh and I just want to say, embellishments go a LONG way to spruce up even scrap paper. The dollar section at Target usually has some cute little embellishments if you're on a budget.

Maybe fancy them up a bit with scrapbooking scissors and put them on a French bulletin board?

Get an unfinished wood tray (they have them at Michaels) and mod podge the kudos into the tray as a collage. Maybe some pretty paper as a backing/to fill holes. Finish the wood with either stain, paint or just seal it if the color works. I've done this with the glass-filled ones and photos, it ends up looking really nice, and they can either hang it on the wall or use it.

Thanks for your suggestion! I'm going to go this route, but I couldn't find cheap wood trays so I'm using large tiles from Home Depot =] thanks again!

Glad you liked it! I've never tried it with tiles, you'll have to post finished pics :)

Can you get a group picture?

Take that and put it in the centre of a piece of scrapbook paper and put the notes around it. :) And then they can put it on their walls, frame it or add it to their own scrap books.

Get some clip boards - you can sometimes find them at the dollar bin at Target or pretty cheap at office supply stores.

Get some modge podge.

Get some pretty paper.

Modge Podge the clipboards with the pretty paper and put the kudos notes on top, and modge podge over.
