Update on the Tea Mural

A couple of months ago I posted my tea mural. Well, it's gotten bigger. Four shots of its life so far.

So, for the curious, this is tea consumed by two people since September, not including the large amounts of loose leaf and non-individually bagged teas. The round pink sticky notes are...er....a long story.

Haha. I wonder if anyone would have even noticed them...oh well.

As a crafter, I've been carefully watching the growth of the mural. As the roommate of a crafter, my roomie has just been sort of sticking them up there. They were getting too close to the oven, but I felt silly confronting her about it, so one night, I decided to put up sticky notes. Unfortunately, it was right before finals or something, so I'd lost enough sleep to basically make me out of my mind.

I'm a history major, so I decided to make a reference to the Korean War. But I was also really out of it, so I couldn't come up with the number 38. So, all three notes say "47th parallel" which I only realized was wrong when I woke up the next day.

Later, it turned out that the 47th was the one whole number between our college town and our hometown. We left it up because now every time we go back to visit our parents, we imagine people shooting at us from the hills.

hahaha, awesome.

Well of course we probably wouldn't have noticed but you mentioned it and... that's just how curiosity works. :D

I have the lovely tendency to see teeny tiny inconsistancies in my own stuff, and it's just so hard to believe other people don't see it, too. :/

Actually when I was just looking at the pics, I thought they must be some sort of cool round tea bag wrapper and I wouldn't have thought they were post-its at all.
