I'm sitting here staring at a jar of bath salts. The huge and chunky bath salts that are way too expensive to get regularly. I was wondering if anyone had any clue how to perhaps "infuse" plain chunks of salt with some type of smell?

I put epsome salt in a bowl, mixed a small amount of olive oil and peppermint oil (can be done with any other oil -- lavendar, etc) and some fresh dried peppermint...swirled it around a bit and had some beautiful bath salts. The oil just makes the dried herbs and scent stick to the salt...it shouldn't be wet, though if you want an oil-salt scrub, just add tons more olive oil.
